Tony Mayne is a Ranger For Life. He was among the first United States Army special operators to respond to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Tony served 12 years as a part of the US Special Operations Command, including nine years in the 75th Ranger Regiment. He retired in 2020 with 20 years of active federal service.
As a Ranger, he served as a Noncommissioned Officer participating in the Regiment’s initial parachute assaults into Afghanistan and Iraq. After earning a Green-to-Gold scholarship, Tony served as an infantry officer in the Army before returning to the Ranger Regiment. In 2014, the Army Physical Evaluation Board recommended him for medical retirement. With a desire to continue serving, Tony challenged the findings to remain on active duty. Tony created the Ranger Regiment’s Ranger for Life career lifecycle program to best prepare Rangers on active duty for their future civilian careers.
Throughout his career, Tony has received many awards and decorations, none more cherished than his 75th Ranger Regiment shoulder sleeve insignia, Ranger Tab, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He has participated in and finished the US Army Best Ranger Competition and was a member of the winning team for the Bataan Memorial Death March.
His combat experience includes parachute assaults with the Rangers in Afghanistan and Iraq. Tony has many medals for his eight combat deployments, including the Bronze Star with the “V” device from the Ranger assault of Haditha Dam, Iraq.
Tony is the author of the Warrior’s Walk blog and host of A More Elite Podcast. Tony’s service after the military continues in his role as the National Transition Director for GallantFew, a military nonprofit, and the military ministry coordinator for St. Luke Church in Columbus/Fort Benning, Ga.
Tony holds a Master’s of Human Resource Development from Clemson University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in political science from The Ohio State University. He and his wife, Nicole, have two children. All of Tony’s endeavors provide Tony an opportunity to share the life-giving power of Jesus Christ.

Ms. Gillette was one of 6 founders of the AFAA International Health & Fitness organization, which grew to 350,000 members in 75 countries, offering 3,500 annual seminars/workshops. She co-wrote the Basic Exercise Standards and Guidelines, Certifications, and Continuing Education programs for allied health and fitness professionals. JC served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer for 20 years, primarily in special operations and special missions units with more than 11 combat tours. He now serves as a leadership consultant advising at the strategic, operational, team, and individual levels within Fortune 500 companies, international non-profit organizations, government agencies, the NFL, numerous NFL and NBA teams, and multiple NCAA programs. JC is also the author of the books A Light in the Darkness: Leadership Development for the Unknown, and Meditations of an Army Ranger: A Warrior Philosophy for Everyone. JC developed the "Prodromos Developmental Model," a capacity-building system designed to develop people and leaders for the future. His conferrals include an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies, Naval War College, and a B.A. in Political Science, University of Rhode Island.
A former U.S. Army officer with over a decade of active-duty service, Mr. Kieffer is a human resource and talent management executive with over two decades of senior leadership experience in large, complex, global companies. He is a TEDx Speaker, Coach, and Advisory Board member of The Honor Foundation and founding member of the Talent Champions Council. Mr. Kieffer's book, Military Career Transition, is an Amazon best-seller in the career transition category. His conferrals include an M.S. in Administration, Central Michigan University, B.A. in Human Resources, University of Toledo; and completion of two executive education courses in Leadership Education and Strategic Human Resources, Harvard University.
Dr. Peters has worked for clients in the commercial and government markets, from molecular diagnostics to evidence-based science and innovative technologies that involve collaboration between academic, commercial, and government organizations. Having founded a previously owned certified women-owned, minority-owned consulting firm Dr. Peters coached small businesses in navigating through the Federal contracting procurement process. She wrote, won, and managed State, Federal, Commercial grants or contracts, i.e., HHS, DOT, DOD, and more. Dr. Peter's conferral includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from the University of Toledo. Currently, she has an appointment at the University of Michigan managing the TRAILS program in the Department of Psychiatry.
Mr. Schimmelfing has worked with privately held companies and the Federal Government over the last 30 years, e.g., Cisco Systems, Fidelity Investments, IBM, Trustmark, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP. He has consulted on projects focused on wellness and optimal health while working with professionals in Benefits, HR, Medical, and Workplace Resources/Facilities. His leadership with new business development and innovative programming has helped change the culture of organizations. His process is engaging multi-functional teams to reach common goals; hire and train high-performing, while achieving new goals. His Honors; The People Company of Japan - for leading business growth and financial success in the U.S. Corporate Fitness Management; Recipient of Lifetime Service Award by the Association for Fitness in Business; Managed Health Fitness Corporation's Health & Wellness initiative, recognized as the best program in the country. He is also a former Double-Dutch Jump Rope Champion and current Badminton State Champion. Mr. Schimmelfing's conferrals include a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Spivey has a diverse background that has touched all corners of health and fitness. Her expertise makes her well-versed in “all things fitness.” On the wellness/prevention side, she has managed Aquatic Therapy, Cardiac, and Pulmonary Rehab programs and opened three medical-based wellness centers - one facility, a 55+ community, and the other two in a business district, supporting employer wellness initiatives. Dr. Spivey put her doctorate in Natural Health to work for businesses and academics. She has authored chapters for various ACE and NASM certifications and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa in the Health Science and Human Performance Department. Dr. Spivey excels in taking client goals and building out Health & Wellness initiatives into custom-designed amenity spaces for commercial and government markets with Heartline Fitness.
Mr. Stalnaker is a financial professional with more than 20-years of experience in the finance and account industries. He started his career at Grant Thornton in the assurance department before moving to the accounting industry. Mr. Stalnaker joined New England Financial to begin his career as a Financial Advisor before co-founding Rockport Wealth Advisors. Rockport Wealth Advisors established Veteran Investment Planning to provide no-cost financial literacy for active-duty service members and veterans through the online Plan to Succeed course. His conferrals include B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University; Series 7 and insurance licenses.
Mrs. Vanderleest brings more than a decade of hospitality and relationship cultivation experience to the RFL team as the Director of Strategic Partnerships. She possesses a B.A. in psychology with writing-intensive English from Marquette University and an M.A. in military psychology from Adler University. Mrs. Vanderleest is the spouse of an active-duty Army pilot for nearly a decade. Formal education, combined with personal experience in the military community, gives Mrs. Vanderleest an in-depth understanding of the strengths and needs of service members.
"Dr. D" brings decades of Health & Wellness experience with ten years at Johnson & Johnson Health & Fitness Services. Creations included: working to help implement the health & wellness shared services strategy, (1994 – 2004 attaining the highest percentage of participation of all JNJ operating companies at Vistakon; ROI of 8.5:1); developing JOBFIT™ (programming to reduce short-term disabilities at Vistakon and then throughout JNJ); creating Standards To Achieve Results (STAR) for a 150 Client Health & Wellness Operating Programs; collaborating with the City of Jacksonville and North Florida Business to launch the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council for small businesses, Healthiest Company Awards, and the Frank Barker, RET JNJ Wellness Leader Award.
